Important Information about your SPORT STARS Fundraising photo day.
To make this event work it is important to communicate as much information to coaches and parents alike.
As the organiser we would like you to allot a time for each team or age group. It takes between 30 seconds to 1 minute per person so it’s a good idea to allot approximately 15 – 20 minutes per team.
In our experience giving 3 reminders to parents/coaches will help maximise attendance and understanding of what is happening and why. We suggest about 3 notifications;
Facebook – Create an Event
Best practice - ‘create an event’ on Facebook and encourage sign up. If you are unsure how to do this please follow these simple steps or follow the link for a video more details.
We have attached a jpeg image already correctly sized, so check your attachments.
To create a private Facebook event on your computer:
· From your News Feed, click Events in the left menu.
· Click + Create Event on the left side.
· Click Create Private Event. Only invited guests will see your event. ...
· Fill in the event name, location, date, time and description.
· Click Create.

Parents and Players Information.
As part of a fund-raising drive we are holding a ‘SPORT STAR’ portrait session for our members and coaches. Money from the sale of each portrait is donated back to our club.
It is therefore important that we all support this event to maximise this opportunity.
Nb. There is no cash taken on the day, the photos are free to be taken and there is no obligation to buy!
We are hosting a Sport stars photo shoot day as a club fundraiser. We have booked SPORT STAR photographers to come to the club house where they will set up an indoor ‘green screen studio’ to photograph our players and coaches.
What is a Green screen portrait?
Green screen portraits are taken in front of a ‘green’ background. This green background then replaced using a computer software and a striking background is used in its place. The photos will then be offered online for parents to buy (no sales on the day).
What do the club get out of it?
A minimum of £5 will be donated back to the club off every sale. Plus, the club get to use the images.
How much does it cost?
The photos are free to take. There is no obligation to buy and NO cash is taken on the day.
On the day.
Team members will be guided through with each one having a portrait taken in their kit – so make sure it’s cleaned and ironed.

You will be issued with a personal log in code that has their own log in details to view the photos on the website.
It is important that all players and coaches have their photograph taken because we will get the digital images for club use.
Please pay attention to your teams’ allotted time slot and arrive promptly.
Can you photograph siblings or small groups?
Yes, siblings can be photographed together but they mustalso be photographed as individuals.
After the day.
Images will be posted on line and parents can to log in to view the photos and buy the photos.
There are various packs to choose from with prices starting at £15.
We get £5 donated back to the club for every sale made, (but there is no obligation to buy).
About 3 weeks after the photo day all the photos are then delivered back to the club along with a cheque. Late orders will be posted directly to customers homes but they will pay a little extra to cover P&P costs.
